Overview of The Illawarra ITeC Ltd.


The Illawarra ITeC Ltd was established in 1988 as an Information Technology & Small Business Centre, with the new premises at 1/336 Keira Street being its third location. Since commencement ITeC has always provided a range of labour market training programs and services for the local community and in particular targeting unemployed people. In 1990 an Incubator for small business (Wollongong Business Centre) was opened as an attachment to ITeC with the Business Enterprise Centre being added in 2000. As a result over the past 20 years the Illawarra ITeC has maintained a high profile in the areas of Information Technology training and all areas relating to Small Business.


During the years since its inception, ITeC has seen many changes and has evolved with those changes to ensure it is always at the forefront of delivering services to meet market needs. ITeC caters to a diverse range of clients and has had extensive involvement with programs throughout the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley Regions. We have a particular emphasis on delivering services to clients from non-English speaking backgrounds and to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.


The Illawarra ITeC is a Registered Training Organisation NTIS # 90185 accredited by VETAB to provide national qualifications from a number of Training Packages to deliver a wide range of accredited courses. The Illawarra ITeC prides itself on providing top quality training and services.
