For eligible participants, NEIS offers:

FREE training in Certificate III in Micro Business Operations or Certificate IV in Small Business Management
in, a nationally accredited qualification;

Assistance in the development of a business plan to assess the commerical viability of your business and provide guidance in the operation of the business;

Income support (NEIS allowance) for up to 52 weeks while your business venture gets started;

FREE business advice & mentoring support for the first 12 months of your business operation and access to a wealth of professional development opportunities and networks.
The training course will help you:

Research business opportunities and identify target markets

Establish business and legal requirements

Undertake financial planning and costing of your product/service

Promote and advertise your business in a cost effective manner

Analyse/present research information for your business

Report on financial activity and analyse your costings

NEIS is a self-employment program funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). NEIS
helps eligible people become self supporting and independent of Centrelink by establishing and running their own small business.
