NCAP - New Careers for Aboriginal People

The New Careers for Aboriginal People (NCAP) program is a FREE service provided by the NSW Government, helping Aboriginal people find the training they need or a job that suits them.

ITeC has strong local networks, understands the regional job market and has the proven ability to match Aboriginal people into successful employment and training opportunities. We have strong relationships with local businesses, training providers, Employment Service Providers and New Apprenticeship Centres.

If you are looking to improve your job prospects, come in for an individual interview with our NCAP officer to discuss your circumstances. We have access to a range of training and work placements to assist you in gaining the skills you need for the local job market.

The NCAP Program offers:

  • Knowledgeable links with local communities and organisations;
  • Access to the NCAP network across NSW;
  • Links to the training services of the NSW Department of Education and Communities;
  • A short list of people with skills and background to fill a vacancy

NCAP officers monitor all successful placements to ensure both you and your employer are happy with the outcome.

NCAP's objective is to increase the participation of Aboriginal people in the labour market by identifying, creating and supporting sustainable education, training and employment opportunities at the local level.
