National Green Jobs Corps is an Australian Government work experience and training program that offers a combination of environmental work experience, skill development and accredited training for youth aged 17 to 24 years. 

Through this program, it has been estimated 10,000 young Australians will have the ability to fill employment opportunities in emerging green and climate change industries.

Experienced and passionate conservation trainers support participants through their Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management in a practical training environment while providing transport, uniform and individual learning support.

ITeC has recently completed a 12 month project made possible through funding from the Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) Jobs Fund Scheme.

With a strong focus on building the community, ITeC has been an instrumental organisation throughout the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions since 1988.

Forming partnerships with not only Government Departments but other local organisations, ITeC has been assisting through education and training, pre employment programs, regeneration and rejuvenation of parks and local facilities and restoring some of the local iconic historical attractions.

Over the years, we have carried out hundreds of fantastic projects, encouraging participation from the community through projects such as Work for the Dole and Green Corps, as well as offering a meeting place through training, networking and support services.
